About : A Fine Art graduate of the DIT returning to Ireland after a number of years of practice in New York. I studied Cultural Policy and Arts Management at UCD and later gained a Master’s in Public Culture Studies at IADT. I have written and implemented arts policy and programme development for the Arts Council, Dublin City, Galway City, Wicklow, and Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown County Councils. My urban regeneration work includes work on The Liberties Area Development Plan and The GDA Arts Strategy. I have developed mediation strategies for the In Context3 public art programme a two year project with South Dublin County Council.
I have worked on the development of two major capital projects, Dance Theatre of Ireland, and The Pavilion Theatre in Dun Laoghaire and founded large-scale festivals such as the Festival of World Cultures 2001–2005, The Dublin Youth Dance Festival, and The Poetry Now Festival including The Irish Times Poetry Now Awards, The Strong Poetry Awards and founded the Farmers Market in the Peoples Park Dun Laoghaire.
I am interested in mentoring practices for artists, and projects which support the development of arts and visual arts in Ireland. My creative practices include writing, curating and project development with artists. In September of 2012 , I began working with Galway Mayo Institute of Technology as Head of Centre for Creative Arts and Media (CCAM).
